They're Here!

Our baby girls decided enough was enough and early in the morning on January 2nd I started having contractions.  I woke up C, I called the on call OB, and we headed out to L&D.  We were in our room about 6 am and by 7 I had been hooked up and checked out.  Due to having twins, the doctor said the girls are coming today!  Lily Elisabeth was born 1/2/12 at 9:34 pm weighing 5lbs13oz and Grace Katherine was born 1/2/12 at 9:40 pm weighing 4lbs7oz (so much for 6 lb babies!)  We got to hold both of them before they were taken to the Nicu for about 2 hours to be observed due to their weights and being 36 weeks 6 days, and were released to the nursery that night (Mommy and Daddy needed some sleep after such an exciting day and night!)  I will post pictures later but we've already had our first outting to the pediatrician.  Will post pictures and more details as soon as I've gotten a few hours of sleep!
