Just a few preview shots from Daddy's photo shoot! Here is Lily two months old!
This picture of Grace is classic our little grunter :)
I was going for this... with a smile, and without her sisters head!
We had some meltdowns because it was lunch time!
Nap in my bloomers and pearls? Don't mind if I do!
Couldn't have planned this if I tried :) Baby fight club!
Wednesday the girls had their two month shots. They both were CRANKY! We gave them children's Tylenol which was about the only thing that made them semi-normal. They would scream bloody murder if they were set down. It was a hard day. Our Pedi office gives immunizations on a semi-delayed schedule, so instead of 5 shots they had 3. I can't imagine more at one time!
Lily is 21.5 inches and 10 lbs 1 oz.
Grace is 20 inches, and 9 lbs 6 oz.
I can't believe that Grace has doubled her weight in 2 months and Lily is close to it. They finally are out of newborns and into the 0-3 size, mainly for height.
Our sleep training took a back seat this week with the shots. The girls are now back to a semi regular schedule. Witching hour from 5 to 8 pm, then out for the night by 9. They feed two to three times and wake up for the day between 7 to 730 am. The last few nights, the girls have been waking up and taking .5 to 2 oz instead of the normal 4, which leads me to believe they will be dropping one of their feedings consistently. Grace is much better at stretches. We stopped waking them together because she will be between 4 to 7 hours between a feeding now, while Lily is still 2.5 to 5.5 hours. We are trying a larger bottle right before bedtime to see if that helps.
This is my last week of maternity leave. C has to start closing one night a week, which will be Tuesdays. I will have to do bedtime alone :( He also will have to do bedtime 5 nights a week alone, which I am dreading for him. I've read this witching hour goes away anywhere from 3 to 4 months, so I hope we are closer to 3.
Nap time... well we're working on it. Our pedi wants us to record sleep to find their best pattern. We haven't done nap time in the crib yet. When they fall asleep in the swing or vibrating chair, I'm just so happy they are both down (shower time wahoo!) I can't bare to work on the crib and risk no naps. It has to be done.... maybe next week! Any experienced Moms who have a success story of transitioning naps to cribs please pass it on!
The girls are making more eye contact, and awake for longer periods of time. Lily "talks" a lot, and Grace is finding her voice. They are smiling more on command, and last night I was able to get Grace to smile with hand movements. They are grasping for anything they can get their little hands on, burp clothes, wash clothes, hair, necklaces, etc. They both love the sun light and looking at Daddy's fish tank!
I will post pictures from C's camera (and a possible second photo shoot not close to feeding time) soon!
